Kapiti Software - Frequently Asked Questions
What types of software does Kapiti IT sell?
We offer a wide range of software, including business productivity suites, security software, creative applications, cloud services, and industry-specific tools. We also provide both subscription-based and one-time purchase licensing options. Some brands we sell include Microsoft Office, Malwarebytes, NordLayer, Bitdefender and ESET.
Do you handle software installation?
Yes we can install all software supplied by us. Our standard hourly rates would apply for install remotely or on site.
Do you offer support after the purchase?
Yes and no. Basic first level support can be done under our hourly rates, or under a managed service agreement for enterprise customers. Most software providers offer their own in-house support and your license fee often goes towards this at a first level support however they may have additional fees for escalations or issues. We will let you know what your license does or does not include re support. Kapiti.IT cannot do application support for all applications as we may not have any access to the admin console or management interface - especially cloud solutions.
Can you help with software upgrades or migrations from older systems?
Yes, we specialise in upgrading or migrating existing software systems to newer versions or entirely new platforms. We can handle everything from data migration to reconfiguration, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption. Depending on the size of the migration, a project ticket may be needed to keep track of labour costs.
What if I have a problem with the software after installation?
Our after-sales support includes basic troubleshooting services - under our hourly rates. Simply reach out to our support team, and we’ll help diagnose and resolve any issues you encounter, ensuring your software continues to perform effectively. If an escalation is needed we'll let you know to log a ticket with the software vendor.
I need a custom software solution, can you find me one?
Yes we can work with you to find the best solution. This is common for our small business and enterprise clients that need specific endpoint security solutions and monitoring. One platform will be better suited to your infrastructure and workplace than others. Equally when choosing Microsoft licensing, there's many different options to suit different industries. We'll work with you to come up with the best solution and then quote for licensing, install, configuration and on boarding support.
Can I buy my own software and have you install & configure it?
Yes absolutely, for business applications that are non standard our business rates would apply.
