Dear Disgruntled TV User,

Are you missing out on BBC iPlayer, ITV player, live sports from Australia, or maybe further afield such as the USA. You've done your research and spent a fortune on VPNs, that simply don't work - or they do once in a while, only to stop again..and again.

We've been there, done that, and used VPNs ourselves, but the only real way to watch blocked georestricted content is by changing your DNS server addresses to route normal internet traffic one way, and geo-restricted content another.

You may have heard the term router VPN and some IT guys will install this on your router, but it routes all your traffic that way - not very security or privacy focused.

We recommend you go one better and setup a dual network at your home. One for normal internet usage that isn't going to get your bank account blocked, and another for changing your DNS servers using a service we recommend to unlock overseas TV with minimal effort. This service is completely legal.

Unlike IPTV and torrenting - slightly illegal these ones, you're simply fooling the website into thinking you live locally, rather than in NZ.

But how do you get two internet networks at home, using one internet connection? 

Your standard router from your ISP is just not going to cut it. Instead we will supply, install and configure a Ubiquiti Dream Machine UDM along with an access point or two, which allows us to create multiple networks in your home. Similar to an enterprise setup at your own home, you'll have the wholly grail of routers at home!

Then we'll setup one network for your usual devices, anything that you want to use as if you were in NZ. Then we create a separate network called 'WIFI-STREAMING' which you'll connect your smart devices too, i.e. TV, Chromecast and Android media player. 

Any device connected to this network will be able to access geo-blocked sites such as iPlayer, 9Now Australia, Hulu, HBO etc. Ofcourse you'll still need an account for these but most are free. 

Then when you're done, either continue using normal channels or swap over your wireless network to your NZ one and you're good to go. Nothing changes in terms of your Internet provider!
