What rural areas does Kapiti IT offer services too?
We cover the Kapiti Coast from Pukerua Bay to Levin and areas in between. For our rural clients we go as far as Palmerston North. Please note our fees for rural clients may be higher than our main hub of Paraparaumu and Waikanae.
Can you extend my Wi-Fi to outbuildings, sheds, or the woolshed?
Absolutely. We can install long-range Wi-Fi solutions or wired connections to ensure you have reliable internet access in farm sheds, workshops, and offices across your property. Our solutions would look at whether you have power to your outbuilding that we can utilise. If you have power there are more options. If we have to look into solar or a 24V cable run this can limit our options.
Wireless solutions include point to point or direct line of sight from an access point. Cabled options include cat 6 cables with earthing or fibre cable runs for long distance - up to 10-20km.
Can you help with farm management software and rural business applications?
Yes, we support a range of farming and rural business software, including livestock tracking, irrigation monitoring, weather stations, and accounting programs. If you need help setting up, troubleshooting, or optimising these systems, we’re here to assist.
Do you offer support for remote locations?
Yes, we provide on-site support for rural areas and remote farms. If an in-person visit isn’t possible or you'd like to save on our travel charge, we also offer remote IT support to fix issues over the phone or via screen-sharing.
