What type of printer should I buy in 2024?

We believe the best value for money is an ink tank printer due to cheap ink costs. Cheaper printers come with expensive cartridges or mono drums that cost $100-$200 each time they need replacing. Ink tank printers are more expensive initially but are very cheap to run and top-up - with some users getting over 2,000 pages from one tank of ink.

Why is my printer not printing anything?

Check the following:

  • Ensure the printer is turned on and properly connected (via cable or wireless).
  • Verify the paper tray is not empty and no paper jams are present.
  • Check if the printer is set as the default printer in the system's settings.
  • Ensure that the printer’s drivers are up-to-date.
  • Look for any error messages on the printer display panel or the computer.

How do I scan a document from my printer to my Windows computer?

Follow these steps:

  1. Place the document on the scanner glass or in the document feeder.
  2. Open the Windows Scan app by searching for "Scan" in the Start menu.
  3. Select your printer from the list of available scanners.
  4. Adjust the scan settings, such as file type and resolution.
  5. Click Preview to check the scan, then select Scan to complete the process.
  6. Save the scanned document to your preferred location.

How do I find the location of my scanned documents in Windows?

By default, most scanning software saves files to the Pictures folder under Scans.
You can also specify the save location before scanning by clicking Browse or adjusting the software settings.
To find a scan later, search for the file name or open Windows Scan and check the recent scan history.
